ScaleSense LLC ("Scale Sense", "we", "us") provides keg-monitoring hardware, a web dashboard, and a mobile app for bars and restaurants. This policy explains what information we collect through our apps and services, how we use it, and your choices. Scale Sense is a tool for businesses; our apps are intended for staff and operators of venues that use our system, not for the general public.

Information we collect

• Account information. When your venue creates an account for you, we store your name, email address, and assigned role (e.g. Staff, Manager, Admin). Authentication is handled through Amazon Cognito.
• Push notification token. If you enable alerts, we store the device push token issued by Apple or Google so we can deliver keg and device notifications. You can disable this in your device settings.
• Operational data. Our scales report measurements such as keg weight, fill level, battery level, signal strength, and device identifiers. This data describes equipment and inventory at a venue; it is not used to identify individual people.
• Bluetooth usage. The mobile app uses Bluetooth solely to connect directly to nearby Scale Sense scales for setup, calibration, and maintenance. We do not use Bluetooth to track your location or collect personal data.
• Diagnostic logs. We may collect basic technical logs to operate and troubleshoot the service.

What we do not collect

We do not collect precise device location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

How we use information

• To provide and operate the dashboard, mobile app, and monitoring service.
• To send the alerts and notifications you or your venue configure.
• To secure accounts, support users, and improve reliability.

How information is stored and shared

Data is processed and stored on Amazon Web Services. We share information only with service providers that help us run the product — for example AWS (hosting and data processing) and Apple/Google (push-notification delivery) — and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law. We do not sell your data.

Data retention

We retain account and operational data for as long as your venue uses Scale Sense, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for support, legal, and business records. Time-series scale readings are retained on a rolling basis per your venue's settings.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections, token-based authentication, and on-device secure storage of credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices & rights

You can disable push notifications in your device settings. To access, correct, or delete your account information, contact your venue administrator or email us at support@scale-sense.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Children

Scale Sense is not directed to children and is intended for use by adults operating a licensed business. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email.
